Responsibilities:
Architecture & Solution Design
• Lead the end to end architecture, design, and implementation of Pega applications, including case management, workflows, integrations, and UI frameworks. Pega LSAs commonly lead complex enterprise architecture initiatives.
• Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional/technical design, product configuration, testing, and production deployment. This aligns with LSA responsibilities defined by Pega’s own role descriptions.
• Architect scalable and secure Pega solutions ensuring adherence to guardrails, best practices, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Oversee integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, messaging systems, file listeners, and other Pega integration capabilities. Many LSA roles require deep integration expertise.
Team Leadership & Technical Governance
• Provide technical leadership across three agile delivery teams (UI developers and integration engineers), guiding day to day solutioning, implementation approaches, and code quality.
• Conduct code reviews, architectural assessments, and quality assurance checkpoints to ensure solutions meet performance, security, and maintainability standards. Pega LSA roles routinely include mentoring and governance.
• Mentor junior and senior system architects, enabling skill uplift in Pega Infinity, Constellation UI, and modern integration patterns.
• Support Scrum ceremonies and help teams break down features into technical tasks, aligning with Agile delivery best practices.
Transformation Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with business analysts, product owners, and enterprise architects to translate complex business requirements into feasible Pega designs.
• Participate in cross functional workshops, solution design sessions, and technical discovery initiatives, representing the engineering perspective.
• Ensure E2E alignment between UI/UX elements, Pega case design, data models, and backend integration layers.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Lead performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts across Pega environments. LSAs commonly oversee full stack issue resolution and performance improvements.
• Support deployment planning, CI/CD pipeline enhancements, cloud architecture discussions, and operational readiness activities.
• Promote automation, standardization, and reusable component creation to accelerate delivery across teams.
• Provide ongoing support and technical governance across multiple projects at a single client, as is common in LSA roles.
Must Have:
• Certified Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) is required.
• 10+ years of Pega engineering experience, with at least 4–6+ years in architecture and technical leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in Pega Infinity, case types, data modeling, rulesets, UI frameworks (Constellation), and systems integration.
• Proven experience guiding multi team Pega delivery initiatives, including solution design, code reviews, and architectural governance.
• Strong understanding of system integration patterns, DevOps principles (CI/CD, monitoring, cloud infrastructure), and API based communication.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience deploying Pega solutions in hybrid or cloud native environments (AWS, Azure).
• Exposure to Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH), Pega Marketing, or advanced decisioning frameworks.
• Background in insurance, financial services, or large scale modernization programs.
• Familiarity with Angular or front end frameworks integrated using Pega DX APIs.
