Senior Database Developer - MongoDB

About the Role

We are seeking for aSeniorDatabase Developer with strong expertise inMongoDB and working knowledge ofMySQL/Aurora on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, optimizing, and scaling databases, while collaborating closely with development teams and DBAs to ensurehigh availability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implementhigh-performance MongoDB solutions for demanding workloads.
• Manage and optimizeAWS RDS (MySQL/Aurora) instances, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Support database deployments and orchestration withEKS (Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with developers to designefficient data models, queries, and indexing strategies.
• Manage database schema versioning and scripts withGitHub and Flyway.
• Monitor and tune performance usingnative tools, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, and proactively address bottlenecks.
• Ensuredata integrity, security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Support migrations and interoperability across different RDBMS platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB (architecture, development , optimization, and operations).
• 4+ years of experience with MySQL Development and administration.
• Hands-on AWS experience with RDS and/or Aurora.
• Familiarity withKubernetes (EKS) and containerized deployments.
• Experience withGitHub-based version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong skills indatabase performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization.
• Understanding of thesoftware development life cycle (SDLC).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
• Knowledge ofdatabase security, disaster recovery, and data migration practices.

Nice to Have

• Exposure toInfrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience withCI/CD pipelines for database changes.
• Exposure tomonitoring, automation, and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with additional AWS services (e.g.,Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
