Compliance Assurance Manager (80-100%)
As Compliance Assurance Manager, you'll be reporting to LOESA Chief Compliance Officer in Luxembourg.
YOUR ROLE:
- Development and maintenance of the Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) i.e. participate to the refresh and yearly communication of the outcome, feed the continuous updates as reviews are being produced (BRM, IA, PWC, Authorities, Compliance, IRS etc.)
- Development of a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP) covering the activities of Lombard Odier (Europe) S.A. (LOESA) and branches
- Quality execution and timely delivery of the CMP :
- by conducting monitoring and testing activities including conducting interviews with all levels of staff to assess knowledge of procedures and levels of Compliance, including visits to branches;
- by ensuring methodology is meeting Group requirements, if any - Management of the Compliance Assurance officer(s), if any. Help them developing their capacities, review their works and ensure they timely deliver according to plans
- Timely delivery of monitoring & testing reports: write up review findings, make recommendations, discuss the observations and actions with the auditees / management and assign remedial actions in light of identified deficiencies
- Presentation of Compliance Assurance findings and recommendations to various Committees up to and including the Board / ACR of LOESA, if needed
- Awareness of regulatory/compliance developments across all LOESA jurisdictions, assessment of the likely impact to the business and incorporation into the annual risk assessment process
- Promotion of best practices and of the highest ethical standards required of staff to ensure staff meet the requirements of the Compliance Manual, relevant regulations and Group Standards
- Participation to the drafting of the Compliance function reporting and escalation of any material compliance/regulatory concerns or issues to the Chief Compliance Officer / LOESA Management Committee or Board / ACR as required.
As LOESA Outsourcing Manager for the Compliance function:
- Oversee / assess the outsourcing arrangements for Compliance related activities;
- Conduct reviews of any activities outsourced by LOESA to other LO entities to assess adherence to the regulatory requirements of each branch and adherence to the terms of any Service Level Agreements in place;
- Quarterly report to the Delegated Outsourcing Forum (DOF) on Compliance outsourced activities;
- Provide annual update to LOESA person responsible for CSSF circular 22/806 Outsourcing Arrangements implementation on the outsourcing arrangements and exit strategy.

As LOT&OS RC:
- Develop/maintain the CRA/CMP to the extent of LOTOS limited scope of activities;
- Execute the monitoring activities designed within the CRA/CMP;
- Frequently report to governing bodies of LOTOS (Outsourcing manager/ DOF/ ManCo / LRC / BoD);
- Perform annual training to the staff and whenever needed;
- Act as primary contact for external stakeholders on Compliance matters;
- Assist internal stakeholders on Compliance related matters.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Degree level education preferred. Accounting or Auditing background an advantage
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Compliance, compliance monitoring / auditing in a European wealth management environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate well verbally and orally at all levels
- High level of personal drive and an ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
- Persistent and inquisitive, not easily deflected.
- Flexible, the role requires some travel within Europe
- Advanced Excel skills an advantage
- English and French compulsory.Flemish, Italian or Spanish an advantage.
