What will you do?  

As a GenAI Engineer, you will contribute to the development, deployment, maintenance, and support of Generative AI solutions in an agile software development environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build scalable AI-powered applications and services. 

What You Will Do 

• Develop and maintain Generative AI solutions using Python and object-oriented programming principles. 

• Build, test, and deploy AI applications and services in cloud environments. 

• Support the implementation and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools. 

• Deploy and maintain solutions on AWS using infrastructure-as-code approaches such as CloudFormation. 

• Work with modern GenAI frameworks including LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and CrewAI. 

• Apply Large Language Model (LLM) concepts and prompt engineering techniques to solve business challenges. 

• Develop and maintain APIs and services using FastAPI. 

• Collaborate with developers and data teams to improve analytics and AI solutions for production environments, focusing on reliability and scalability. 

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of AI workflows and data pipelines using Apache Airflow. 

• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Document technical solutions and support knowledge-sharing across the team. 

This position works directly with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT teams in the US. 

What You Have 

Software Development: Knowledge of software development practices and tools, with the ability to develop, test, and maintain software solutions according to business and technical requirements. 

Software Development Life Cycle: Understanding of the software development life cycle and agile development methodologies, with the ability to contribute throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and support phases. 

Technical Knowledge : Understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, and cloud-native application development. 

• Experience in software development with strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. 

• Experience developing applications in Python. 

• Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development frameworks such as FastAPI. 

• Interest in Generative AI technologies, LLMs, and prompt engineering. 

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills. 

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. 

Top candidates will also have: 

• Experience with Python frameworks and libraries such as FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar tools. 

• Experience working with Git in collaborative development teams. 

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar technologies. 

• Familiarity with AWS services such as SageMaker Studio, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS. 

• Basic knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts and CloudFormation. 

• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration platforms. 

• Understanding of GenAI application patterns such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent-based workflows, and prompt engineering. 

• Technical documentation and writing skills.
