ESSENTIAL DUTIES  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

  • Observe Safety department meetings 

  • AnalyzeSafetydata 

  • Identify trends indata and present findings to senior management 

  • Researchdatatoassist in process improvementfor anyinterfacing departments  

  • Understand company emergency response procedures andassist in improvement of existing procedures 

  • Participate in operational risk assessments 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) inAviation Management, Operational Analysis/ Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, or similar field of study 

  • Minimum2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale 

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group 

  • Strong analytical skills 

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ability to work onsite at ourCarmel Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager 

  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns 

  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship  

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. 

 

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY 

Ability to define problems, collect data,establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to read and interpret technical,regulatory and contractual documentation. Able tomaintain confidentiality. 

 

DECISION MAKING  

Makesday to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought withoutestablished precedents or procedures. Decisions tend to be short term andusually of moderate cost. Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.
