The Role 

We are seeking to connect with experienced professionals for anticipated Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) opportunities. While specific project requirements may evolve, these engagements are expected to support owners in planning, procuring, and delivering capital projects through IPD and other collaborative delivery models. These could include healthcare facilities, public-sector buildings, post-secondary and community facilities, and other complex infrastructure. Direct experience on IPD projects is strongly preferred, and experience with government or municipal clients is a strong asset. 

You will act as a trusted advisor to owners and project teams, guiding the adoption of collaborative delivery practices and helping to build the aligned, high-performing teams that IPD depends on. Your work will support projects that achieve greater cost certainty, stronger value for the owner, and better outcomes for end users.  

Important: Please note this opportunity is being offered as a consulting and/or fixed-term contract engagement and is not a permanent full-time employee position. 

WhatYou’ll Do 

• Advise owners on project delivery model selection, IPD readiness, and the structure of collaborative agreements, including shared risk and reward 
• Support the procurement and selection of IPD team partners, including design consultants, contractors, and key trade partners 
• Guide teams through each phase of delivery, including the development and management of the project’s target cost and goals 
• Establish and support governance structures that enable clear, collaborative decision-making across the owner, design, and construction teams 
• Facilitate collaborative working sessions that build trust, alignment, and shared accountability across the team 
• Support the use of Lean construction practices to improve planning, reliability, and value 
• Monitor project performance, risk, and cost against targets, and translate progress into clear updates, recommendations, and reporting for owners and stakeholders 

WhatYou’ll Bring 

• Extensive experience in capital project delivery, including direct involvement in one or more IPD projects 
• Experience with municipal, provincial, or broader public-sector clients considered a strong asset; experience with institutional, not-for-profit, private-sector, or public-private partnership owners is also highly valued 
• Strong working knowledge of IPD principles and multi-party contracting 
• Practical experience applying Lean construction practices in a project environment 
• Understanding of target cost development, cost tracking, and shared risk and reward models 
• Confident facilitator and communicator with the ability to build alignment among owners, designers, contractors, and trade partners 
• Calm, solutions-focused advisor with the ability to coach teams through the cultural and behavioural shifts collaborative delivery requires 
• Ability to work on-site at client and project sites across Alberta as required by project needs
