The Bump is looking for an experienced, curious, and audience-obsessed Editor / Writer (you!) to create and improve trusted content for parents and parents-to-be. Reporting to the Editorial & Trust Lead, you will own content from idea through publication and ongoing optimization, working closely with medical contributors, SEO partners, Product, Growth, and other Editors / Writers. This role is one of four planned positions on the editorial team.

• Pitch, research, write, edit, publish, and refresh clear, useful, inclusive content across pregnancy, parenting, and related life stages
• Translate expert guidance and complex information into approachable, empathetic content without losing nuance or accuracy
• Follow and strengthen editorial standards for sourcing, fact-checking, medical review, brand voice, accessibility, and corrections
• Apply SEO best practices and audience insight to topic selection, briefs, headlines, structure, internal linking, and content updates
• Partner with medical contributors and subject-matter experts to prepare content for review and incorporate feedback accurately
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly for appropriate workflow steps while independently verifying facts, originality, quality, and voice
• Manage content in the CMS, maintaining clean metadata, links, taxonomy, and publication hygiene
• Monitor performance and user feedback to recommend updates, new coverage, format changes, and retirement of outdated material
• Collaborate with Social, Lifecycle, Product, Commerce, and Partnerships on integrated initiatives while maintaining editorial integrity
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines with strong communication, attention to detail, and ownership

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

• 4+ years of professional writing and editing experience in digital media, consumer health, parenting, wellness, lifestyle, or a related field
• A strong portfolio demonstrating accurate, engaging, audience-centered service journalism or educational content
• Working knowledge of SEO, content management systems, analytics, and content optimization
• Excellent research, interviewing, fact-checking, copyediting, and structural-editing skills
• Sound judgment when handling sensitive health, family, identity, or life-stage topics
• Comfort collaborating with experts and incorporating medical, legal, editorial, and audience feedback
• Curiosity about responsible AI-assisted workflows and a commitment to independent verification and original work

WORK MODEL:

This role is based in Latin America and follows a remote-first model. Team members are expected to work remotely, with one in-person gathering per month at a designated coworking space to support collaboration, connection, and team alignment.
