The Role:

We are looking for aTechnical Lead for a project assignment to provide hands-on technical leadership for a distributed engineering team acrossLos Angeles, Mexico, and India. This role will be based in the Los Angeles area and requires someone comfortable working regularly from theDLTA and Beverly Hills, depending on business needs. You will lead the technical direction and day-to-day execution of the engineering team while remaining actively involved in architecture, development, code reviews, and solving complex technical problems. The environment is primarily built aroundTypeScript, Node.js, and Microsoft Azure, with a growing emphasis on incorporatingAI-assisted development and AI capabilities into both the engineering workflow and the products we build.
We are looking for someone who understands how modern AI tools can improve software engineering and is comfortable helping a team adopt them thoughtfully. Experience with tools such asClaude is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams across Los Angeles, Mexico, and India
• Own technical direction, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and implementation strategy
• Remain hands-on with development using TypeScript and Node.js
• Design and build scalable applications and services within Microsoft Azure
• Lead technical design discussions and translate business and product requirements into practical engineering solutions
• Review code, provide technical guidance, and help engineers solve complex development challenges
• Coordinate development across distributed teams and ensure alignment on priorities, architecture, standards, and delivery expectations
• Partner closely with product, delivery, client stakeholders, and other engineering leaders
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early and drive them to resolution
• Improve engineering practices around code quality, testing, deployment, observability, and maintainability
• Promote the effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
• Help identify opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into applications, workflows, and internal engineering processes
• Mentor engineers and raise the overall technical capability of the team

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as aTechnical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with technical leadership responsibilities
• Strong hands-on development experience withTypeScript and Node.js
• Experience designing and delivering production applications inMicrosoft Azure
• Strong understanding of modern application architecture, APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems
• Experience leading or coordinating engineers across multiple locations or time zones
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering work with technical leadership and team coordination
• Strong code review, debugging, architecture, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working directly with product, delivery, and business stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical direction to distributed teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities and technical requirements may evolve

Nice to have:

• Experience usingClaude or similar AI coding and development tools
• Experience implementing AI or LLM-powered functionality within production applications
• Familiarity with AI development patterns, APIs, agents, or developer tooling
• Experience leading teams distributed across theUS, Mexico, and India
• Consulting or client-facing engineering experience

Location:

• This is anonsite role requiring4 days per week betweenDowntown Los Angeles (DTLA) andBeverly Hills, based on business needs.

Employment type:

• Full-Time

Salary Range:

• $150,000 – $180,000 USD Annually (depending on experience) + Benefits
