THE ROLE

As Director of Product Management for Subsystems, you will lead the strategic vision and portfolio execution for the hardware and networking infrastructure powering Everpure’s FlashArray and FlashBlade platforms. Operating as an influential player-coach, you will build and empower a team of Subsystem PMs while partnering directly with VP leadership, Engineering, and Supply Chain to set operational objectives and budgets. Your leadership directly impacts overall enterprise success by transforming complexcompute, chassis, and fabric innovations into resilient, market-leading storage architectures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and Direct High-Performing Teams: Recruit, mentor, and lead a functional organization of Subsystem PMs, establishing clear team goals, operational work plans, and performance benchmarks to drive portfolio execution.

• Define Multi-Year Subsystem Strategy: Own the long-term product definition, qualification criteria, and lifecycle roadmap for hardware (compute, chassis, interconnect) and networking fabrics (Ethernet, Fibre Channel, NVMe-oF) across FlashArray and FlashBlade lines.

• Establish Architectural Guardrails: Drive strategic alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Field teams by defining reference architectures that ensure consistent performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across the portfolio.

• Manage Executive & Field Collaborations: Serve as the authoritative technical partner in C-level roadmap reviews, high-stakes customer escalations, and competitive proof-of-concept engagements where deep hardware fluency drives enterprise revenue growth.

• Govern Portfolio TCO and Delivery: Direct functional budget priorities, unit economics, and supply chain trade-offs to optimize product margins and accelerate market delivery across all platform subsystems.

WHAT YOU BRING

• People Leadership & Organizational Development: Demonstrated capability recruiting, managing, and empowering technical product management or systems engineering teams, with expertise establishing operational procedures, resource allocation, and talent development.

• Hardware & Networking Architecture Expertise: Deep technical command of enterprise storage hardware, servercompute platforms, backend interconnects, and high-speed networking protocols (Ethernet, Fibre Channel, NVMe-oF).

• Strategic & Financial Acumen: Advanced skill evaluating complex business variables, analyzing cost of goods sold (COGS), balancing supply chain constraints, and making final operational decisions to safeguard portfolio margin and schedule goals.

• Executive Presence & Technical Influence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with proven ability to influence senior executive decisions, lead cross-functional architecture reviews, and build trust with major enterprise clients.

• Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
