Position Overview:

The Director of Broadcast & Technology Operations is responsible for the management of the Broadcast Engineering and Information Technology groups within MSE’s Technology organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Broadcast Engineering staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
• Coordinate staffing and technical operations for live broadcast production events, ensuring adequate coverage, readiness, and issue resolution across game nights and special events.
• Manage the documentation, creation, and training of standard operating procedures to ensure processes are adhered to across various disciplines .
• Oversee third-party vendor services for playout/transmission of Monumental Sports Network services, including providing reports and monitoring services against contracted SLAs.
• Lead the rollout of new systems, ensuring operational and engineering training is implemented throughout the transition to production environments.
• Provide regular reporting and documentation to support informed decision-making on technology infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the PMO on project management efforts across engineering initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise media and broadcast infrastructure.
• 10+ years of people leadership experience, including recruiting, mentoring, and professional development.
• Experience supporting staff in a matrix organization, with a focus on timely issue resolution for customers and business partners.
• Familiarity with organizational change control processes, IT service management (ITIL), and support ticketing systems.
• Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop creative content and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to team objectives, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to balance challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment and maintain a schedule aligned with event and production timelines.
• Commitment to internal client support and customer service.
• Knowledge of compute systems, application and server-based systems, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity and access management.
• Understanding of storage architecture (SAN/NAS), backup, disaster recovery, and VMware.
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including Azure and AWS.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including endpoint protection, patch management, and system hardening.
• Experience with network troubleshooting, Monitor & Control platforms, and control systems such as Crestron.
• Knowledge of broadcast technologies and production systems, including SMPTE 2110, AES67, Dante, broadcast audio mixing, video switching, Media Asset Management (MAM), live sports production, and transmission.

Pay Range: $155k - $175kUSD.
