At LeoLabs, we’re building the living map of activity in space. Through our proprietary global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform, we collect millions of measurements daily on more than 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit (LEO). Our radar-powered intelligence protects billions in assets, monitors adversarial behavior, and ensures safe operations for commercial and government missions.
We’re not just building technology, we are redefining global security, safety, and transparency in space. As orbital activity accelerates and threats grow more complex, LeoLabs is a trusted partner for Space Domain Awareness, Space Traffic Management, and Satellite Operations for top-tier space operators and allied defense organizations.
If you're looking to work on mission-critical challenges at the forefront of aerospace, national security, and AI, your impact starts here.
The OpportunityÂ
At LeoLabs, the Hardware Engineering Team designs, builds, manufactures, and deploys advanced radar systems that provide persistent orbital intelligence to customers around the world.Â
As an Engineering Project Manager for Radar Hardware, you will drive execution across complex hardware development and production projects. You will work with mechanical engineering, RF and electrical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program leadership to turn project goals into clear schedules, deliverables, owners, and execution plans.Â
This is a hands-on project management role for someone who understands how hardware moves from requirements and design through procurement, build, test, deployment, and sustainment. You will help the Hardware Engineering Team stay aligned, surface risks early, and deliver radar hardware on schedule. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Menlo Park, California. Occasional travel may be required to support suppliers, integration, or field activities.Â
You will be responsible for:Â
- Drive project execution for radar hardware design, manufacturing, integration, test, and deployment activitiesÂ
- Translate contract, program, and engineering needs into clear hardware milestones, deliverables, schedules, and ownersÂ
- Develop and maintain integrated hardware project schedules across design release, procurement, manufacturing, test, and deploymentÂ
- Track hardware deliverables, risks, dependencies, decisions, and action items across multiple active projectsÂ
- Work with technical leads to assess level of effort, resource needs, schedule constraints, and execution prioritiesÂ
- Coordinate execution across Mechanical Engineering, RF & Electrical Engineering, and ManufacturingÂ
- Support design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, build readiness reviews, and major project checkpointsÂ
- Maintain project tracking workflows in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent systemsÂ
- Provide clear status reporting to hardware leadership on schedule health, risks, staffing needs, and execution gapsÂ
- Help improve the team’s project planning, meeting cadence, documentation, and follow-throughÂ
QualificationsÂ
