Role Summary:
Bring precision craftsmanship to the front line of hydrogen-powered drone production. As a Vinyl Wrap Technician, you'll prepare surfaces and apply vinyl film to UAS airframes and components, including fuselages, wings, booms, and tails. You'll turn complex, compound-curved shapes into clean, durable, defect-free finishes that meet aerospace quality standards. Working with Production, Engineering, and Quality, you'll help define the look and protection of every aircraft that leaves our Winchester facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces (clean, degrease, and sand as needed) prior to vinyl wrap application to ensure proper adhesion
• Measure, cut, apply, and scuff vinyl film pertaining to air vehicles, panels, and irregular or compound-curved surfaces using heat guns, squeegees, and hand tools
• Wrap complex geometries — fuselage, wings, booms, tails, and other challenging contours — without tearing, bubbling, wrinkling, or lifting
• Inspect finished work for defects (bubbles, seams, lifting) and perform rework as needed
• Maintain and care for wrap tools and equipment, including heat guns, squeegees, blades, and magnets; report issues promptly
• Complete required travelers, inspection records, and non-conformance documentation in compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain a clean, workstation and comply with FOD (foreign object debris) prevention practices; order and restock supplies as necessary
• Support first article inspections and process improvement initiatives with Engineering and Quality Control departments
• Follow all safety procedures when using blades, heat tools, and chemicals
• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of hands-on experience installing vinyl wraps on vehicles or comparable surfaces
• Demonstrated ability to wrap complex, compound-curved surfaces (bumpers, mirrors, contoured panels) to a clean, professional finish
• Proficiency with heat guns, squeegees, cutting tools, and standard wrap application techniques
• Strong attention to detail, patience, and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read Work Instructions and follow design specifications and work orders
• Ability to cross train and perform other assembly tasks as needed during times when vinyl wrapping is not needed
• Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to perform the responsibilities of this role.

• If this role requires access to information controlled under U.S. export control laws (ITAR/EAR), applicants must also qualify as a "U.S. person" under 22 CFR §120.62 (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual such as an asylee or refugee). 

Preferred:

• Experience wrapping complex or specialty vehicles (custom builds, commercial fleet, motorsport, or aircraft/aerospace surfaces, or other)
• Manufacturer training or certification (e.g., 3M, Avery Dennison) in vinyl wrap installation
• Experience with paint protection film (PPF) or specialty graphics application
• Portfolio demonstrating prior wrap work on complex shapes

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to comply with all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods while wrapping vehicles or components
• Ability to work with hands overhead or awkward positions as needed
