We are seeking apatient, attentive, and dependable helperto support a male client in his 70s who hasdementia. His wife, also in her 70s, needs additional help caring for him and ensuring his safety and daily routines are maintained.

The client experiences significant memory-related challenges and requiresfrequent reminders, supervision, and redirection throughout the day.

Care Responsibilities

• Assist withActivities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Provide reminders touse the bathroom
• Monitor and redirect him when needed forhome safety
• Ensure water is turned off to prevent overflowing
• Monitor meals and ensure food isproperly prepared and safe to eat
• Provide reminders regardingappropriate clothing, especially before going outside
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Assist withoccasional errands(no doctor's appointments required)
• Help care for the family dog, avery friendly Dalmatian
• Maintain a safe and structured environment

• Schedule currently undecided
• Family will discuss their needs and determine the days and hours

Ideal Candidate

• Experience withdementia care strongly preferred
• Patient and comfortable withredirection and frequent reminders
• Strong awareness of household safety
• Compassionate, observant, and dependable
• Comfortable around dogs
• Able to communicate respectfully with both the client and his

This role is best suited for a helper who understands that dementia care involves more than physical assistance. The ideal helper will be patient, observant, and proactive, providing gentle reminders and supervision to help prevent unsafe situations while preserving the client's dignity and independence.
