Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who willbe responsible for end-to-end accounting related to invoice processing including payment processing. This position interacts daily with Accounting and Treasury teams to make sure our vendors are paidin a timely manner. Responsibilities: 

• Processing of 3rd Party Invoices in conjunction with the cash schedule provided by accounting and other internaldepartments.   

• Receive, evaluate, and process invoices and statements from vendorsin a timelymanner.   

• Uses established company policies and procedures todetermine validity ofcharges.   

• Checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes   

• Debiting, crediting, and totaling accounts on spreadsheets and accounting software   

• Assist in research and reconciliation of bank statements asneeded.   

• Setup of vendors following company policies tomaintainaccurate and prevent fraudulenttransactions.   

• Maintaininga high level of accuracy when coding expenses by using historical information, budgets, and other sources to ensure items are correctly recorded in the General Ledger   

• Assist with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects, asneeded.   

Qualifications: 

• Degree in accounting or related field preferred but notrequired.   

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment required

• Yardi Voyager andPay Scan experience aplus.   

• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting concepts   

• Excellent people skills and solution oriented with a proactive attitude 

• Strong attention to detail and thoroughnessrequired.   

• Basic Excel and Microsoft Office
