Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • As amember ofourConsultingteam,you willcoordinatewithclients onspecificprojectcomponents,discussbusinessstrategies, andprovideyourexpertise toimprovefinancialor operationalperformance.   
  • Mentor Analysts andplay acrucialrole indrivingprojectsforward.  
  • Engage in consulting projects andcollaborate with cross-functional teams.   
  • Assistourclients tosolvetheir operational,financial, andstrategicchallenges andimprovetheirbusinessperformance.   
  • Takeresponsibility foryour ownprojectmodules.  
  • Consult andpresentprojectresults toseniormanagement.  
  • Leverage thetechnicalknowledge andexpertise of Deutsche Bahn inconsultingprojects.  
  • Support the development of client relationships andidentify opportunities for future engagements.  
  • Develop asset management, maintenance, and infrastructure strategies that improve long-term performance, reliability, and lifecycle value for transportation agencies. 
  • Translate technical, operational, financial, and organizational challenges into practical implementation roadmaps and decision-making frameworks. 
  • Lead complex analyses that support investment planning, maintenance optimization, organizational transformation, and state-of-good-repair initiatives. 
  • Facilitate alignment across executives, operations teams, maintainers, infrastructure owners, and delivery partners to build consensus on strategic priorities and implementation approaches. 
  • Advise clients on maintenance operating models, governance structures, performance management frameworks, and asset lifecycle management best practices. 
  • Drive business development and practice growth through strategic planning, market assessment, solution proposition, and proposal development within the transportation and infrastructure sectors. 

Requirements: 

  • One or more years of experience in consulting and familiarity with the consulting approach.  
  • MBA, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in any discipline, havingdemonstrated academic excellence and the capacity to passionately engage with and excel in specific industries or topics.  
  • Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and an innovative andentrepreneurial mindset; ability to work independently; aptitude to quickly grasp new concepts and effectively produce results.   
  • Passion for tackling complex challenges inmobility and railway transportation sector.  
  • Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills. 
  • Experience in using MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for performing analyses and developing quantitative models.   
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal skills.  

 Working Conditions and Travel: 

Minimal overnight travel by land and air. 

Physical Requirements, with or without a reasonable accommodation: 

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for periods up to 4 hours at a time 
  • Ability to speak on the telephone for a total of up to 3 hours per day 
  • Ability to sit for up to 3 hours without breaks at meetings 
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 4 hours without breaks at program site visits and meetings 

 We offer an annual gross salary between $98,000 and $113,000+ bonus (USD) for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
