Medical Assistant Instructor – Future Opportunities 

Locations: Norfolk, Newport News or Chesapeake 
Schedule Options: Full-time & Part-time | Day & Evening Shifts 
Compensation:Up to $25/hour 
Licensure Required: RMA or CCMA certification; BLS certification (within 6 months of hire)

WhatYou’ll Do 

As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you'll teach assigned classes, guide hands-on learning in labs, and mentor students toward career success. You'll also: 

• Provideclassroom and lab instruction in an engaging, student-centered way 

• Help prepare curriculum and maintain instructional materials 

• Keep detailedattendance and academic records 

• Submit student grades, evaluations, and required documentation promptly 

• Identify and communicate student attendance concerns 

• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development 

• Use proven studentretention techniques to support learning 

• Monitor and maintain classroom and labequipment and supplies 

• Maintain a neat and orderly instructional environment 

• Support student progress by completing educational performance modules 

• Promote apositive, team-oriented atmosphere 

WhatYou’ll Bring 

Required Qualifications: 

• Associate's degree 

• RMA or CCMA certification required 

• BLS certification (within 6 months of hire) 

• At least3 years of hands-on experience in the medical assisting field 

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) 

• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel occasionally as needed 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or education-related field 

• Experience withCampusNexus or other student information systems 

Schedule Options(Fridays Off!) 

We offermultiple schedules to support your availability: 

• Full-Time 

• Split Shift: Mon – Thurs: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM & 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM 

• Part-Time Options 

• Mon – Thurs: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM 

• Mon – Thurs: 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay Rate: UP to $25/hour (based on qualifications and experience)
