Key duties…
- Greet members and guests warmly and professionally on arrivalÂ
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, following internal protocolsÂ
- Manage bookings, cancellations, and room allocations using the hotel’s PMS (Property Management System)Â
- Answer guest questions and resolve complaints or concerns with empathy and discretionÂ
- Coordinate with housekeeping, concierge, spa, and other departments to ensure a seamless experienceÂ
- Process payments accurately and issue invoices or receipts as requiredÂ
- Handle phone, email, and in-person inquiries promptly and helpfullyÂ
- Keep reception and lobby areas tidy, welcoming, and well-presentedÂ
- Maintain guest confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and club data policiesÂ
- Assist with wake-up calls, transportation bookings, and general concierge duties as neededÂ
What we are looking for...
A successful Hotel Receptionist for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success. Â
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role, ideally in hospitality or luxury environmentsÂ
- Strong customer service and communication skillsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel booking systems (e.g., Opera, Protel)Â
- Reliable, organised, and well-groomed with a calm, professional mannerÂ
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and stay solution-focusedÂ
Desirable:Â
- Experience working in a private members club or boutique hotelÂ
- Multilingual abilitiesÂ
- First Aid or Fire Safety certificationÂ
- Knowledge of local attractions, transportation options, and club amenitiesÂ
