Key duties…
- Supervise and support the reception team in delivering consistent, high-quality serviceÂ
- Answer high-volume phone lines and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries.Â
- Well-versed on standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation and amenity availability/pricing.Â
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment, reception area, desk and coat check closet.Â
- Support, redirect and problem solve in real-time to ensure any guest related concerns are addressed and action items have been set.Â
- Prepare daily reports and handovers for management,identifying any service or operational issuesÂ
- Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management.Â
- Train and onboard new reception team members, and conduct regular refresher sessionsÂ
- Monitor reception systems, bookings, membership database, and ensure data accuracy and complianceÂ
- Oversee shift rotas, task delegation, and team communication tomaintain full coverage and efficiencyÂ
What we are looking for...
A successful Head Receptionist for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.Â
- Experience in luxury hospitality or private members clubsÂ
- 2–4 years in a receptionist or front-of-house role within a premium hospitality environmentÂ
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferredÂ
- Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Open Table, or equivalent)Â
- Calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues with a guest-first mindsetÂ
