The Localization Team

The Localization team makes sure Proton works, and sells, in every market we serve. We own how products, launches, and growth content reach users in their own language and culture. That covers in-app strings, pricing pages, CRM email and app store listings. Some products in the portfolio are mature and others are launching now, so several workstreams run at once against fixed release dates. Beyond delivery, we're building the practice that proves localization's commercial impact through data and experimentation. You'll do well here if you want to own outcomes end-to-end and can handle a vendor escalation and a funnel analysis on the same day.

What You'll Do

• Own the localization lifecycle for your product scope, from string freeze through general availability. You'll coordinate Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and Support to hit fixed launch dates.
• Run the workflow and build the playbook. Manage handoffs across stakeholders in our TMS/CAT tools. Build reusable launch assets: scoping models, timelines, market-readiness checklists and go/no-go criteria.
• Own translation budgets per product and language. Report regularly and flag overruns early.
• Build and manage the vendor bench. Recruit, test and onboard suppliers and freelancers. Maintain SLAs, NDAs and documentation, track quality and turnaround, and run quarterly business reviews. Escalate to the Localization Lead, and bring in Legal and Finance when needed.
• Adapt growth content for each market instead of translating it word for word. This includes CRM email flows, campaign landing pages, app marketplace listings, legal updates, and conversion-critical surfaces like pricing, signup and feature messaging. Flag cultural and regulatory risks before release.
• Prove what works. Track where localized experiences beat or trail the source market. Run localized A/B tests on copy, onboarding, trust signals and pricing presentation. Analyze funnels to find linguistic and cultural friction, and share validated wins so they scale.
• Raise the bar across teams. Be the linguistic and internationalization point of contact for your stakeholder group. Improve the process through CAPA reports, retrospectives and proofs of concept.

Who You Are

• You've owned localization projects or programs end-to-end, including multi-workstream, multi-market launches against fixed dates.
• You can administer TMS and CAT tools hands-on, and you know localization best practices and internationalization standards well.
• You've managed localization vendors and freelancers against quality, turnaround and cost targets, including budget planning and tracking.
• You're comfortable with data: you define metrics, track them and act on them, both operational and business.
• You have a working knowledge of experimentation and growth: A/B testing, conversion funnels, CRO.
• Your English is at a professional level (B2–C2).

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience running A/B tests on localized surfaces.
