Senior Clinical Scientist, Radio-Oncology

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, radiologists, medical physicists, and clinical researchers to design and conduct clinical application research, follow up research progress, and contribute to publications and academic achievements.
  • Support clinical study setup, execution, and follow-up, identify emerging clinical needs and research opportunities, optimize imaging protocols and workflows, and translate clinical insights into research and application solutions.
  • Develop and apply medical image analysis and AI-based solutions, preferably using Python and/or Matlab, and collaborate with clinical partners to validate applications and generate research outputs.
  • Work with internal R&D, product, and technical teams to define clinical use cases and application requirements, provide clinical feedback, and support product and proposition development.
  • Provide scientific consultation and pre-sales support , including customer discussions, research needs assessment, product demonstrations, seminars, conferences, and other customer-facing activities.
  • Regularly visit Clinical Science sites, hospitals, and research institutions to discuss innovations, support research implementation, resolve technical issues, and build strong relationships with KOLs and clinical partners.
  • Monitor clinical needs, customer feedback, competitive technologies, and emerging trends, and provide insights to support product development, commercial strategy, and clinical applications.
  • Support the development of research reports, presentations, publications, white papers, and commercial/technical materials.

Minimum required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Medical Imaging, Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in radio-oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, medical imaging, or clinical research.
  • Experience collaborating with clinicians, medical physicists, or clinical research partners.
  • Experience with medical image analysis, data processing, or clinical research applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and/or Matlab; C++ is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of clinical imaging workflows, imaging protocols, and hospital-based research.
  • Strong communication, presentation, coordination, and Chinese/English writing skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to travel frequently.



Preferred Education:
PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.


Preferred Experience:

  • Solid experience in radio-oncology/radiation oncology clinical research and academic collaboration.
  • Experience in clinical study design, data analysis, and scientific publication.
  • Experience with deep learning, machine learning, radiomics, quantitative imaging, segmentation, registration, or other AI/data-driven image analysis.
  • Experience with medical imaging devices, radiation oncology workflows, IGRT, treatment planning, or oncology applications.
  • Experience supporting product demonstrations, customer training, scientific seminars, conferences, or pre-sales activities.
  • Strong academic publication record and ability to translate clinical needs and feedback into research concepts, application improvements, and product opportunities.
