Product Structure Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities

The Product Structure Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and governingMaster Bills of Materials (BOMs) and overallproduct structures across engineering and manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Structure Engineer will be responsible for Creating and maintaining Master BOMs / Product Structure which includes Review and Authorize Engineering changes

• Collaborate withcross‑functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning) to implement and control changes to Master BOMs.

• Possess a strong understanding ofEngineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Master BOM concepts, including their relationships and downstream impact.

• Manage and support theEngineering Change process, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of change impacts on Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

• Generate and maintainAssembly BOMs in ERP systems such asSAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.

• Demonstrate working knowledge ofMRP, Work Orders / Job Orders, andassembly shop floor planning processes.

• Review, maintain, control, and releaseEngineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with company procedures.

• MaintainMaster Engineering Documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and related documents supporting product development and production.

• Test and validatenew or enhanced functionality withinPDM, ERP, and other Engineering systems to ensure no disruption to day‑to‑day Engineering and Configuration Management activities.

• Ensure compliance with documentation standards, change control procedures, and data integrity requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strongcommunication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with a proactive learning attitude.

• Proficiency inMicrosoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Experience withTeamcenter (TcE) andUG NX will be an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5–7 years of experience in aProduction Planning, Manufacturing, or Engineering environment, with exposure to BOM management and ERP systems.
