PositionSummary
The Systems Specialistis responsible for supporting,maintaining, andoptimizing the organization's software systems and technology resources. The agency's primary software that supports all departments is Microsoft, specifically Microsoft SharePoint. This position serves as the primary point of contact for software-related issues, user support, system administration, reporting, and vendor coordination. The Systems Specialist works closely with staff, leadership, vendors, and the organization’s long term service IT partner to ensure technology systemsoperate efficiently and effectively while supporting the agency's mission and strategic goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
-Provide technical support byidentifying, troubleshooting, and resolving user issues related to software applications and technology systems.
-Support andmaintain Microsoft Office applications, MicrosoftSharePoint and other agency software platforms.
-Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to staff on the effective use of software systems, Microsoft SharePoint, and technology tools.
-Manage user accounts, permissions, access levels, and system personalization settings.
-Compile data and create custom reports, dashboards, and documentation to support organizational needs.
-Serve as a liaison between agency leadership, staff, external vendors, and other stakeholders during software implementation and enhancement projects.
-Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, customization, and upgrading of software applications.
-Monitor system performance and ensure software applications function optimally and securely.
-Research emerging technologies, software solutions, and industry trends, providing recommendations to leadership for improvements and upgrades.
-Evaluate current systems and processes toidentify opportunities for increased efficiency, productivity, and automation.
-Coordinate with software vendors to resolve issues, arrange repairs, and manage product replacements when necessary.
-Maintain, prioritize, track, and respond tosubmitted IT support tickets within established service standards and according to urgency.
-Collaborate closely with the organization's contracted IT service provider to support infrastructure and technology initiatives.
-Communicate technology updates, security recommendations, and best practicesto staff and leadership.
-Perform basic laptop and workstation maintenance, including setup, troubleshooting, software installation, and hardware diagnostics.
-Assist with software testing, implementation planning, data migration, and system enhancement projects.
-Maintainaccurate records of system configurations, software licenses, and technology assets.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
-Information Technology or Computer SciencesAssociate's Degree, or equivalent experience and certifications
-4 years' experience supporting Microsoft based environments
Physical Requirements
-Prolongedperiods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
-Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
