What are we looking for?

We are looking for aJava Technical Lead to join our team and contribute to a project for one of our global customers, a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking and savings accounts.

You will lead the development team from a technical perspective, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable and maintainable software while promoting engineering best practices and supporting the professional growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Define coding standards and best practices and ensure adherence to them.
• Mentor and coach junior developers to enhance their skills and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable software.
• Work within a DevOps"you build it, you own it, you run it" model, ensuring stable and smooth maintenance of delivered software.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Participate in the completeSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including occasional QA activities and peer reviews.
• Work towards the goals and vision articulated by Product Management.
• Drive innovation within the team and contribute within your technical domain.

Key Requirements

• At least 6-7 years ofJava programming skills and experience buildingAPIs.
• Deep understanding of all stages of theSoftware Development Life Cycle.
• Deep understanding ofdesign patterns and principles, includingSOLID principles.
• Experience with different testing types:Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing and Load Testing.
• Experience with distributed architectures such asSOA or Microservices Architecture (MSA).
• Experience withevent-driven architectures.
• Strong experience withREST APIs.
• Relevant experience withAWS services.
• Experience withGradle or Maven.
• Experience withEnterprise Jenkins.
• Experience working in anAgile environment, such asScrum or SAFe.

Nice to have

• Experience working in ahighly regulated environment, particularly banking or financial services.
• Experience withDocker.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with serverless technologies such asAWS Lambda and AWS Fargate.
• Experience withTDD and BDD.
