Senior Solution Architect - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud

We're on the hunt for a Senior Solution Architect who brings deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies to spearhead our legacy modernization program. You'll take on a central role in crafting scalable solutions, propelling forward cloud and business transformation efforts, and working in close partnership with clients and technical teams. This position calls for substantial cloud platform experience along with a thorough command of software architecture and modernization approaches. Responsibilities

• Develop and design solutions supporting legacy modernization initiatives that match client priorities
• Facilitate discussions centered on architecture while coordinating with business stakeholders and technical teams
• Advance cloud and business transformation programs while ensuring alignment with established technical guidelines
• Extend mentorship and support to junior colleagues throughout every stage of project execution
• Work with clients to review existing mainframe environments and identify potential modernization pathways
• Formulate modernization plans encompassing re-platforming, re-factoring, re-architecting, and cloud transition
• Furnish technical leadership across development teams to promote successful project outcomes
• Utilize reverse engineering methods to review legacy codebases and extract underlying business logic
• Map out and manage the integration of modernized platforms with pre-existing infrastructure
• Establish quality assurance protocols to fulfill performance, security, and regulatory compliance needs
• Build scalable, high-performing solutions grounded in cloud platforms and microservices frameworks
• Generate thorough documentation spanning architectural plans and development conventions
• Foster solid client partnerships while serving as a liaison between technical and business-focused audiences
• Track emerging technology trends and incorporate fresh, innovative solutions into modernization work

Requirements

• Extensive Java development experience totaling 13 to 19 years within solution architecture capacities
• Demonstrated leadership history in shaping architecture and steering business transformation projects
• Solid expertise across cloud transformation initiatives and related modernization technology
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and established best practices
• Proficient across cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Mandatory experience functioning as a solution architect within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
• Practical experience applying various modernization tools and methodologies
• Exceptional communication and leadership qualities that support engagement with diverse stakeholder groups
• Professional-level working command of the English language

Nice to have

• Experience with Java-based frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch, Spring REST, and Spring Cloud
• Some exposure to frontend technology such as ReactJS and Angular
• Skill set covering microservices architecture design and RESTful API development
• Familiarity with API tooling along with related design best practices
• Hands-on experience with databases including PostgreSQL as well as NoSQL solutions
