Senior Solution Architect - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud

We're aiming to add a Senior Solution Architect to our team, someone with a strong grasp of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies to guide our legacy modernization efforts. You'll be instrumental in engineering scalable solutions, pushing forward cloud and business transformation initiatives, and working hand-in-hand with clients and technical groups alike. This position requires notable real-world cloud platform experience along with a solid understanding of software architecture and modernization practices. Responsibilities

• Formulate and construct solutions addressing legacy modernization needs that reflect client requirements
• Lead conversations focused on architecture, working in tandem with business stakeholders and technical staff
• Advance cloud and business transformation programs while staying aligned with defined technical practices
• Offer guidance and encouragement to junior team members throughout each phase of a project
• Collaborate with clients to review their existing mainframe landscape and uncover modernization possibilities
• Design modernization pathways that incorporate re-platforming, re-factoring, re-architecting, and cloud transitions
• Bring technical leadership directly to development teams to help drive projects toward successful completion
• Leverage reverse engineering techniques to analyze legacy systems and reveal underlying business logic
• Plan and manage how newly modernized platforms link up with existing infrastructure
• Institute quality assurance procedures aimed at meeting performance, security, and compliance benchmarks
• Engineer scalable, robust solutions anchored in cloud technology and microservices structures
• Assemble thorough documentation that captures architectural frameworks and development guidelines
• Nurture durable client relationships while connecting technical teams with business-side stakeholders
• Monitor evolving technology trends and apply creative solutions within modernization initiatives

Requirements

• Extensive Java development experience amounting to 13 to 19 years spent in solution architecture capacities
• Solid track record leading architecture efforts and directing business transformation programs
• Broad expertise spanning cloud transformation work and associated modernization technologies
• Thorough command of software architecture theory, design patterns, and industry-recognized best practices
• Proficiency working across cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Required practical experience serving as a solution architect within the Microsoft Azure environment
• Hands-on familiarity applying assorted modernization tools and approaches
• Superior communication and leadership talents that facilitate effective work with a range of stakeholders
• Professional-grade working fluency in English

Nice to have

• Exposure to Java frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch, Spring REST, and Spring Cloud
• Some background working with frontend technologies such as ReactJS and Angular
• Ability to design microservices architecture and develop RESTful APIs
• Awareness of API tooling alongside associated best practices in design
• Experience working with databases including PostgreSQL and assorted NoSQL technologies
