Senior Solution Architect - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud

We're on the hunt for a Senior Solution Architect who brings deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies to spearhead our legacy modernization program. You'll take on a central role in crafting scalable solutions, propelling forward cloud and business transformation efforts, and working in close partnership with clients and technical teams. This position calls for substantial cloud platform experience along with a thorough command of software architecture and modernization approaches. Responsibilities

• Craft and structure solutions for legacy modernization work that align with client objectives
• Guide architecture-focused conversations while working alongside business stakeholders and technical teams
• Push forward business and cloud transformation efforts while maintaining consistency with technical standards
• Offer direction and support to less experienced team members across all phases of project delivery
• Partner with clients to evaluate current mainframe systems and pinpoint opportunities for modernization
• Develop modernization roadmaps covering re-platforming, re-factoring, re-architecting, and migration to the cloud
• Deliver technical leadership to development teams to help ensure projects are executed successfully
• Apply reverse engineering tools to examine legacy code and uncover embedded business rules
• Plan and supervise how modernized systems get integrated with existing infrastructure
• Put quality assurance measures in place to satisfy performance, security, and compliance requirements
• Design scalable, high-performance solutions built around cloud platforms and microservices architecture
• Produce detailed documentation covering architectural blueprints and development standards
• Cultivate strong client relationships while bridging communication between technical and business audiences
• Keep pace with evolving technologies and integrate innovative approaches into modernization efforts

Requirements

• Substantial background in Java development, spanning 13 to 19 years within solution architecture positions
• Established leadership track record in architecture design and driving business transformation
• Clear expertise in cloud transformation efforts and modernization-related technologies
• Deep familiarity with software architecture concepts, design patterns, and industry best practices
• Skilled with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Required background serving as a solution architect specifically within Microsoft Azure
• Background applying modernization tools and methodologies in practice
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities suited to engaging a variety of stakeholders
• Professional working-level proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Background working with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch, Spring REST, and Spring Cloud
• Exposure to frontend technologies like ReactJS and Angular
• Capabilities in designing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Understanding of API tooling and associated design best practices
• Experience handling databases such as PostgreSQL along with NoSQL systems
