Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Solution Architect to design and deliver scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise solutions using Java and modern cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, integration architecture, databases, security, and DevOps practices.
The Java Solution Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, enterprise architects, technical leads, developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and external partners to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design end-to-end enterprise solutions using Java and modern architecture principles.

Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical architecture.

Define solution architecture for Java applications, microservices, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.

Design applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Cloud.
-
Define microservices architecture and service decomposition strategies.
-
Design RESTful APIs and integration patterns for internal and external systems.
-
Develop high-level architecture diagrams and detailed technical design documents.
-
Define application, integration, data, security, and deployment architecture.
-
Evaluate existing applications and recommend modernization strategies.
-
Lead migration of monolithic applications to microservices and cloud-native architectures.
-
Design systems for scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, resiliency, and disaster recovery.
-
Define synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.
-
Design event-driven solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, or similar messaging technologies.
-
Design database solutions using relational and NoSQL technologies.
-
Define data-access, caching, and persistence strategies.
-
Design secure solutions using OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, RBAC, and related security standards.
-
Define API Gateway, service discovery, configuration management, and resilience patterns.
-
Review technical designs and ensure adherence to architecture standards.
-
Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
-
Identify technical risks, dependencies, scalability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
-
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
-
Mentor technical leads, senior developers, and architects.
-
Collaborate with DevOps teams to define CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, monitoring, and deployment strategies.
-
Define cloud architecture using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
-
Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
-
Establish logging, monitoring, and observability standards.
-
Troubleshoot complex production, performance, and integration issues.
-
Participate in technical estimation, solution planning, and architecture governance.
-
Communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience.
-
Minimum 4 years of experience in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or similar architecture role.
-
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Core Java.
-
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring MVC.
-
Extensive experience with microservices architecture.
-
Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations.
-
Strong knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.
-
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
-
Strong knowledge of design patterns and architectural patterns.
-
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
-
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cassandra.
-
Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures.
-
Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
-
Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
-
Experience with Git and enterprise version-control workflows.
-
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
-
Strong technical leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Spring Cloud.

Strong experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Experience with API Gateway and service mesh technologies.

Knowledge of circuit breaker, retry, timeout, bulkhead, and fault-tolerance patterns.

Experience with Redis or other distributed caching technologies.
-
Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.

Experience with Azure services or Google Cloud Platform services.
-
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code tools.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.

Knowledge of observability platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or CloudWatch.

Experience with JVM performance tuning and application performance optimization.

Knowledge of secure coding practices and enterprise security standards.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

AWS, Azure, Java, or architecture certifications are preferred.
