Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Scala Developer with strong backend development experience in cloud-native and distributed systems environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications using Java and Scala technologies while working with AWS cloud services, NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Scala.
• Build and support microservices-based architectures.
• Develop and optimize integrations with DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Redis, and Kafka.
• Work on real-time data processing and event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineering teams for deployment and monitoring.
• Implement high-performance, low-latency, and resilient applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor applications using Datadog, Splunk, or similar observability tools.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile development activities.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and performance best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java and Scala development.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • DynamoDB
  • DocumentDB
  • Kafka
  • Redis
• Strong AWS cloud experience.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• Monitoring and observability experience using:
  • Datadog
  • Splunk
  • Similar SRE/monitoring tools
• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architecture.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working in enterprise cloud environments.
