Role Summary

Lead enterprise scale Java modernization initiatives for customers driving architecture migration strategy cloud transformation and modernization delivery for Java based workloads migrating to Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end to end Java application architecture and modernization strategy
• Lead migration of Java workloads from WebLogic Glass Fish WebSphere JBoss and Tomcat to Azure native platforms
• Define modernization and migration patterns for Azure App Service AKS and Azure Container Apps
• Lead Java version upgrades Java 6-8 to Java 11-17
• Drive cloud readiness remediation and Azure service integration
• Design scalable microservices and integration architectures
• Define containerization strategy using Docker and Kubernetes
• Establish CICD architecture using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Architect Azure Landing Zone integration and cloud native deployments
• Lead performance optimization resiliency security hardening and observability implementations
• Provide architectural governance design reviews and migration best practices
• Partner with customer stakeholders engineering teams DevOps teams and delivery leadership
• This role requires the candidate who is already holding active Security Check (SC) clearance in accordance with UK Government standards
