Java Microservices Developer

Capgemini is seeking experiencedJava Microservices Developers to support a project for our end client,Wells Fargo. The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience inJava, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, with the ability to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications usingSpring Boot and Microservices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate services across enterprise applications.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and highly available microservices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide effective technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for performance, security, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills

• Strong experience inCore Java / Java 8+.
• Hands-on expertise withSpring Boot andSpring Framework.
• Strong experience developingMicroservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with application integration and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development principles.
• Experience with unit testing and debugging.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an enterprise development environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in thefinancial services/banking domain.
• Experience with cloud technologies such asAWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
