Job Description:

Position Overview
Southwest Airlines is seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern frontend technologies, along with experience in cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Build responsive user interfaces using React.js or Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Design and integrate RESTful APIs and database solutions.
  • Write unit tests, troubleshoot application issues, and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, and production support.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with React.js or Angular.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and working with SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, Git, Maven/Gradle, and JUnit.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale applications or the airline/travel industry.
