What we look for?
We are looking for a Java Engineer to join a project with a global financial services leader specializing in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. The ideal candidate is passionate about software engineering, thrives in a DevOps culture, and has strong experience building scalable API-based solutions within distributed architectures.

Main tasks and accountabilities will be:
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software solutions.
Build, own, and support applications following a DevOps approach ("you build it, you own it, you run it").
Ensure the stability, performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Participate throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including development, testing, code reviews, and occasional QA activities.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Contribute to the achievement of product goals and business objectives defined by Product Management.
Drive innovation within the team and actively contribute to technical improvements and best practices.
Support and maintain distributed and event-driven systems.

What do we expect from you?
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java development and API design/building.
Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Solid knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
Experience with:
Unit Testing
API Testing
Acceptance Testing
Load Testing
Knowledge of Microservices Architecture (MSA) and/or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Experience with event-driven architectures.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
Experience with Maven and/or Gradle.
Experience using Jenkins for CI/CD.
Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Nice to Have
Experience in highly regulated industries, especially banking or financial services.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Docker knowledge.
Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, and other serverless technologies.
Experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
