Java Developer (AI & Enterprise Solutions) - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer (AI & Enterprise Solutions) for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Java Developer with AI Integration expertise to lead the redesign and modernization of a critical maintenance module. In this role, you will bridge the gap between robust enterprise backend systems and cutting-edge artificial intelligence, defining the target-state architecture and driving key decisions that ensure scalability and long-term platform growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise and strong architectural leadership to translate complex business requirements into scalable, future-ready AI solutions. This position requires 3 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot / Quarkus) that seamlessly integrate with LLM APIs, vector databases, and AI model endpoints
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic search modules, and context-aware AI agents
• Implement secure data ingestion, text chunking, embedding generation, and data synchronization workflows
• Monitor, benchmark, and evaluate non-deterministic AI outputs, token usage, latency, and prompt accuracy
• Develop secure, well-documented RESTful APIs and event-driven data flows using Kafka/RabbitMQ
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Write clean, maintainable code backed by comprehensive unit, integration, and evaluation tests

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field
• 4+ years of professional backend development experience utilizing Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) into enterprise applications
• Familiarity with Java-specific AI ecosystems such as Spring AI or LangChain4j
• Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and context window optimization
• Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and familiarity with NoSQL or vector storage systems
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines deployed on major cloud infrastructure
• Mastery of object-oriented design patterns, asynchronous programming, and API security (OAuth2/JWT)

Desired skills:

• Prior experience with financial systems, client onboarding platforms, or enterprise master/reference data solutions
• Experience in Agile product delivery, roadmap planning, and backlog prioritization
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps practices
• Familiarity with regulatory, risk, and governance considerations within large financial institutions

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
