Role: Java + Cloud Developer (Payments Domain)
Location: Boston

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java + Cloud Developer with strong expertise in payment systems and modern cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms within the banking or financial services domain.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Java 8/11/17
  • Spring Boot
  • Microservices Architecture
  • REST APIs
  • Hibernate/JPA
• Cloud platform experience:
  • AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Payments Domain:
  • SWIFT
  • ACH
  • Wire Transfers
  • ISO 20022
  • Payment processing workflows
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Database experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native Java applications for payment processing systems
• Build and maintain scalable microservices and APIs
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements
• Integrate payment gateways and banking interfaces
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking/Financial Services clients
• Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Exposure to security and compliance standards in payment systems
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
