Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and securing RESTful APIs, working with SQL databases, and building scalable enterprise applications.

The candidate should also have experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices. Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and collaboration skills are essential for success in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Java Development

• Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable enterprise applications using Java 8, Java 11, Java 17, or later versions.

• Apply strong knowledge of Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, and multithreading.

• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.

• Troubleshoot application issues and implement effective solutions.

2. Spring Boot and Microservices

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.

• Implement application components using Spring Data JPA and Spring Security.

• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services.

• Support application integration and improve overall system performance.

3. RESTful API Development

• Design, develop, integrate, and secure RESTful APIs.

• Work with JSON, HTTP methods, and API communication standards.

• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.

• Document APIs using Swagger and OpenAPI.

• Test and troubleshoot API integrations with internal and external systems.

4. Database Management and Integration

• Work with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries for application performance.

• Implement database interactions using Hibernate and JPA.

• Integrate backend applications with internal and external systems.

• Troubleshoot database-related issues and improve query efficiency.

5. Cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD

• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.

• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Use Git, Maven, and Jenkins for source control, build management, and deployment.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Follow modern DevOps practices to support reliable application delivery.

6. Testing, Troubleshooting, and Agile Delivery

• Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.

• Perform API testing using Postman and other relevant tools.

• Debug application issues and support production incident resolution.

• Conduct performance analysis and optimization to improve application reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6–15 years of experience in Java backend development.

• Strong proficiency in Core Java, including Java 8, Java 11, Java 17, or later versions.

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.

• Strong experience designing, developing, and securing RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, JSON, Swagger, and OpenAPI.

• Experience with SQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Hands-on experience with Hibernate and Spring Data JPA.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in unit testing and API testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Postman.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
