Database-Per-Service IsolationEncapsulation: The microservice is the sole owner and modifier of its corresponding NoSQL collection or key-space (e.g.| MongoDB or Cassandra).Decoupling: Direct database joins across microservices are strictly prohibited. The service must expose well-defined RESTful APIs to share domain data with other services.2. Eventual Consistency & Transaction ManagementHandling Distributed Data: Since NoSQL databases lack cross-cluster ACID transaction capabilities| Java microservices rely on asynchronous messaging to maintain consistency.Saga Pattern: Microservices orchestrate long-running| distributed transactions by executing compensatory actions if a step fails.3. Data Access & Query OptimizationSchema Evolution: Taking advantage of the schemaless (or schema-flexible) nature of NoSQL to rapidly evolve the application data model without downtime.Optimized Queries: Using specialized NoSQL query languages| indexing strategies| and aggregation pipelines to retrieve and filter unstructured or massive-volume data with minimal latency.4. Integration & ConnectivityNative Clients & Repositories: Using Java frameworks like Spring Data MongoDB or Datastax Java Driver for Cassandra to map NoSQL documents/rows to Plain Old Java Objects (POJOs).Connection Pooling: Managing connection pools efficiently to handle high concurrencies typical of distributed environments.5.
