Java Automation Tester

Our quality engineering team is looking for a talentedJava Automation Tester who will design and run automated testing solutions for both frontend and backend systems, maintaining strong standards of performance, security, and reliability across the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build test strategies and plans following BDD methodologies
• Establish acceptance criteria for software features
• Write automated test scripts for frontend (web, mobile) and backend (services) platforms
• Oversee automation pipelines as part of CI/CD workflows
• Analyze performance test outcomes and deliver practical recommendations
• Write scripts to automate security testing
• Implement shift-left and shift-right testing methods across projects
• Verify data and run queries to support testing efforts
• Communicate effectively on technical matters and engage actively in meetings and reviews
• Work closely with the team, keeping others informed of progress and obstacles promptly
• Clarify testing activities to colleagues in different roles, even in complicated situations

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in test automation
• Skilled in using test management tools like Jira and X-Ray
• Familiarity with various testing processes and types (ISTQB FL / AT)
• Skilled in automation frameworks like SerenityBDD, Screenplay, Gherkin-Cucumber, and Karate
• Moderate familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter and K6
• Moderate familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and code repositories such as Git
• Familiarity with relational databases like SQL, Oracle, DB2, and PostgreSQL
• Moderate familiarity with data analytics as applied to quality metrics
• Familiarity with software development practices such as SOLID principles, Clean Code, refactoring, and DRY/DAMP
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies or frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
• Strong negotiation abilities and flexibility to work with varying styles within a team

Nice to have

• Familiarity with security testing tools like OWASP ZAP
• Familiarity with ITIL v4
• Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) tools like GitHub Copilot and Windsurf
• Certification related to AI, ideally in GitHub Copilot (certifications in Claude, Gemini, GPT, or Grok also accepted)
• Familiarity with AI-driven test execution agents and AI-assisted development
