We are seeking a dependable and hardworkingJanitor / Laundry Aide to join our team at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents while ensuring they have fresh, clean clothing and linens.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect residents’ laundry daily or as needed.
• Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to residents’ rooms in a timely manner.
• Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens to support resident care and comfort.
• Inspect linens for holes, stains, and damage, removing items from service as needed.
• Label new residents’ clothing items when necessary.
• Follow all sanitation, infection prevention, and laundry procedures.
• Maintain an organized inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Operate industrial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the Administrator.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous laundry, janitorial, housekeeping, or related experience preferred; one year of experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and established procedures.
• Basic math skills for counting, sorting, and tracking supplies.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, solve routine problems, and ask for assistance when needed.
• No certifications or licenses required.
