Content Producer: Video Production and Digital Media (EX)

TheContent Producer will oversee livestream and broadcast production and lead digital content development for the new website, The Catholic Mass, under the guidance ofSt. Ignatius Catholic Church in Baltimore.

This role combines technical production expertise, creative storytelling, and a deep understanding of Jesuit spirituality to share the Catholic faith with excellence, reverence, and accessibility.

In addition to managing live broadcasts, the Content Producer will collaborate on the creation of podcasts, educational resources, and other digital programming designed to inspire, inform, and engage Catholic and Jesuit audiences worldwide. A key responsibility of this position is building, training, and mentoring a volunteer media team.

About the Company 

St. Ignatius Church broadcasts its Sunday Mass each week via livestream to reach those who are sick, homebound, or otherwise unable to attend in person.

Each weekend, Mass is celebrated at St. Ignatius in Baltimore and shared through livestreaming technology, extending the parish's worship experience to a global audience.

St. Ignatius is a Roman Catholic parish administered by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) under the authority of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Essential Functions:

 Livestream and Broadcast Production

• Plan, produce, and direct live broadcasts of Masses, liturgical celebrations, and parish events for the Radio Mass of Baltimore.
• Manage all aspects of production, including camera operation, audio mixing, lighting, and streaming software.
• Ensure high-quality, reliable broadcasts that reflect the dignity and reverence of Catholic worship.

Volunteer Recruitment and Coaching

• Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers for technical, creative, and social media roles.
• Develop training materials and lead regular skill-building sessions.
• Foster a collaborative, faith-centered team culture.

Website Content Development:The Catholic Mass

• Assist in creating and curating engaging, faith-based content for the website, including articles, videos, podcasts, and educational resources.
• Collaborate with clergy and ministry leaders to ensure theological accuracy and alignment with Jesuit Catholic tradition.
• Maintain a consistent publishing schedule and ensure all content is accessible, engaging, and visually appealing.

Digital and Social Media Strategy

• Develop and implement social media campaigns to promote broadcasts, website content, and parish events.
• Monitor analytics to measure audience engagement and refine content strategies.
• Foster online community engagement through thoughtful interaction and meaningful conversation

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience in live video production, broadcast media, and digital content creation.
• Proficiency with streaming platforms such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, and Vimeo, as well as production software including OBS, vMix, and Wirecast.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
• Experience recruiting, training, and leading volunteers or teams.
• Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and Jesuit spirituality.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holy days, and occasional evenings as needed.

Pay Rate:  $55,000, Annualized
