Merchandise Associate, Greensboro Swarm

Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable individual with a professional demeanor. This position will be responsible for welcoming customers and offering them assistance with merchandise. The Merchandise Associate will work the retail store on home games for the team.

The Greensboro Swarm looking to hire a part-time Merchandise Associate for the 2025-26 basketball season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.
• Ability to engage with fans and help in the execution of promotions
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters; suggesting items.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Checks inventory on regular bases to maintain a fully stocked store front and trailer.
• Has the ability to meet Sales Goals.
• Processes sales, exchanges, and returns on POS system.

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

• 1-2 years of experience in retail environment
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• High energy level
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Experience in an arena environment or a professional/collegiate sports atmosphere
• Dependable
• General math skills
• Cash handling experience
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift, up to, 50 lbs.
• Available on weekends and all game nights (24 games). Available for special events during the season (i.e. season ticket holder viewing parties during weeks with away games)
