Understanding of ITGC like patch management, batch job runs, back-up/ disaster recovery, change management, user access reviews etc.
Responsibilities –
Hands on experience of ITGC control testing and reporting
- Undertake control assessments for in-scope controls, including design effectiveness and operating effectiveness testing.
- Apply sampling techniques where appropriate and document the sampling rationale, population, and results.
- Test control performance against agreed control criteria, standards, and frequency requirements.
- Document testing results, exceptions, and conclusions in a clear and auditable format.
- Produce consolidated reporting on control assessment outcomes to support annual attestation, governance forums, and audit readiness.
- Obtain, review and follow up on SOC1 Type 2 reports as required to ensure control effectiveness is achieved.
- Coordinate internally using established reporting lines to ensure control workpapers are reviewed for quality and completeness and signed off by a senior team member.
In addition to these
- Ability to work with client stakeholders spanning business, IT and CISO organization, other vendors, external/ internal auditors
- Extract evidences from SAP / ServiceNow as per the requirements
- Evaluate the evidences shared for whether it is fit for purpose, current, and sufficient to support the control assertion
- Ability to identify gaps, exceptions, control failures, and inconsistencies as well as suggest remediation
- Track and follow up remediation actions to closure, including maintaining an action log and target completion dates
Soft skills –
Excellent in written and verbal communication, experience in working with clients from different geographies (UKI, US)
