We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Compliance Manager to join our Brisbane team. The ideal candidate will ideally possess a design background, a good understanding of codes and standards, and ability to apply critical thinking to technical project requirements. The purpose of the role is to ensure design and construction compliance while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and specialist interface disciplines. 

You will:

• Review and interpret architectural documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and industry standards  
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialist disciplines to support integrated design and regulatory outcomes  
• Lead compliance processes, including managing Departures from Project Requirements with appropriate justification and documentation  
• Interpret and embed contract and project requirements within delivery  
• Analyse design performance, compliance data, and interface requirements, providing clear insights to stakeholders  
• Assess regulatory and client requirements to inform design decisions  
• Coordinate interface requirements across disciplines to ensure compliance alignment  
• Prepare clear compliance reports, translating complex information for diverse audiences  
• Identify and manage project risks, maintaining the RAIDOC register  
• Implement and manage the compliance framework across design teams

• Strong collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.  
• Efficient utilisation of project-specific processes and management systems.  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and statutory requirements (e.g. BCA, Australian Standards, DSAPT, etc).  
• Has ideally demonstrated experience in an architectural or design-related role, with strong technical drawing/documentation understanding.  
• Analytical and critical thinker, able to assess not just how requirements apply, but why.  
• Hands-on experience interpreting and interrogating data, especially for compliance validation.  
• Familiarity with managing Project Requirement Departures and the related assurance processes.  
• Demonstrate understanding of project technical requirements, and how interface disciplines contribute to overall compliance.  
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite programs including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
