Senior Java Developer (Liferay)

We are currently looking for aSenior Java Developer with experience inLiferay DXP to join one of our long-term public sector projects for a European Institution. You'll contribute to a highly visible, large-scale platform handling a large document volume, built for performance, availability, and scalability in a distributed, cloud-based environment.

THE WORK:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications usingJava 17, andLiferay DXP.
• Contribute to the development of a scalable, responsive platform hosted onAzure and Kubernetes, usingmicroservices andREST APIs.
• Work closely with other developers, business analysts, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure that UI elements built inLiferay (using CSS/HTML/JS/React) are user-friendly and follow modern web standards.
• Take part in code reviews, update technical documentation, and assist with CI/CD processes.
• Actively contribute to performance optimizations and the evolution of the architecture.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Proven experience withLiferay DXP (including extension, theming and frontend customization).
• Strong background inJava (ideally Java 17), andREST API development.
• Experience withReact,HTML5,CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred).
• Good understanding ofPostgreSQL and distributed architectures.
• Experience working withElastisearch and/orChatbot integration is an asset.
