Senior DevOps Engineer – Oracle Platform (all humans)

Tribe SRE is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Oracle expertise to improve the reliability, automation, and evolution of our enterprise database platform and infrastructure ecosystem.

The role combines DevOps, platform engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with Oracle as a key part of the broader infrastructure landscape. You will work on automation, observability, CI/CD enablement, platform resiliency, and operational excellence across mission-critical production environments.

Working closely with infrastructure, application, cloud, security, and database engineering teams, you will help modernize Oracle platform operations through scalable automation and engineering practices.

What to do:

• Design, implement, and maintainautomation for Oracle platform and infrastructure operations using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash, with a strong focus on eliminating manual operational activities and improving efficiency.

• Build and improveCI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and self-service operational tooling, enabling teams to provision, configure, deploy, and operate platform services independently.

• Driveplatform engineering and DevOps practices, establishing reusable automation, standardized processes, and scalable solutions across enterprise environments.

• Improve thereliability, availability, scalability, and operational efficiency of Oracle platform services through automation, engineering practices, and continuous improvement.

• Leadincident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective and preventive actions, while improving automation, runbooks, and operational standards.

• Support the operation of highly available Oracle environments usingOracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN, including understanding of performance troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, migrations, backup, and recovery.

• Strengthen platform resiliency throughdisaster recovery validation, resiliency testing, capacity planning, operational readiness, and SLA/SLO-focused improvements.

• Improveobservability, monitoring, dashboards, alerting, metrics, logs, and incident trend analysis using platforms such as Grafana and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), with a focus on proactive detection and automated response.

• Provide technical guidance to engineers and contribute totechnical roadmaps, platform modernization, knowledge sharing, and adoption of DevOps and SRE practices, with a strong focus on automation, self-service, observability, and reliability.

You check these boxes:

• Strong recent active professional experience inDevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, including business-critical enterprise environments.

• Strong hands-on experience withautomation and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and Ansible.

• Experience building or maintainingCI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and self-service platforms/tools.

• Solid understanding ofobservability, including metrics, logs, dashboards, alerting, monitoring, and incident trend analysis. Experience with Grafana and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) is advantageous.

• Good practical understanding ofOracle database operations and administration, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, performance troubleshooting, patching, and upgrades.You do not need to be a traditional Oracle DBA, but you should understand the fundamentals of how Oracle databases are operated and troubleshot.

• Experience withKubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, enterprise storage/backup, open-source infrastructure, or hybrid cloud environments are advantageous.

• Fluent English.

• A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - we are obliged by law to quote the minimum wage of EUR 2.900,- gross per month for this full time position.
