Are you a seasoned communications professional with strong local insight and influence? The Communications Consultant provides strategic counsel and execution for high-impact internal and external communications, partnering closely with leaders to support exceptional care and community trust. This role is ideal for someone deeply familiar with and well-connected in Jefferson City, bringing a strong understanding of the local landscape, relationships, and community voice to their work. Scheduling & Logistics:- The role is onsite at key ministries St. Mary's in Jefferson City or (SJSC, SJLSL, SJWZ) in St. Charles County.
- One to two days per week of work from home will be permitted after onboarding.
- Quarterly team meetings will be held at our system office in Des Peres.
- Standard work hours are day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Occasional evening coverage may be required for business events.
- Participation in a holiday on-call rotation for regional emergencies are required, approximately one holiday per year.

Job Summary:
Provides support regarding the design, communication, and implementation of communication and media plans.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and authors communication materials for internal and external distribution
Interviews internal resources, collects relevant information and develops material for media releases and communication sessions
Schedules and follows up on the timely release of communications and media information
Tracks results of media related activity and reports success
Assists in the development of strategic communication messaging by working with communication team to support communications needs across the ministries
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE
Three years’ experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Rare climbing.
