Our client is seeking a highly skilledIT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain critical IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security for business operations.

Role Description

TheIT Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security frameworks. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure stability, scalability, and security while optimizing performance for business applications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in systems architecture, network management, cloud services, and IT security protocols, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintainIT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networks.

• Manage and monitorvirtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Configure and maintaincloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

• Implement and managenetwork security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

• Performsystem upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance to ensure high availability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complexsystem and network issues.

• Develop and maintainautomation scripts for system administration tasks.

• Monitor and optimizesystem performance and resource utilization.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implementIT solutions that align with business needs.

• Ensuredata backup, disaster recovery, andbusiness continuity plans are in place and tested.

• Document system architecture, configurations, and procedures.

• Providetechnical support and guidance to end-users and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience as anIT Systems Engineer or similar role.

• Strong knowledge ofserver and network architecture, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.

• Experience withvirtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Proficiency in managingcloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

• Expertise innetwork security best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection).

• Proficiency inautomation andscripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• Familiarity withmonitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).

• Strongproblem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Excellentcommunication andcollaboration skills.

• Relevant certifications (e.g.,Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate,AWS Certified Solutions Architect,CCNA) are a plus.
