SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Information Technology (IT) Support Assistant helps keep the company connected, productive, and secure by supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, CCTV, and communication systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform software installs.

Complete assigned projects, providing status reports to management.

Install hardware and software, including operating system, office applications, and the CCTV system.

Perform quality assurance tests.

Provide technical and end user support.

Daily help desk support, through IT ticketing system, responding to user requests for assistance and tracking open calls, escalating situations as necessary.

Performs other related duties as required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily indoors in an office or in server rooms, equipment storage areas, and other company facilities where exposure to noise, heat, dust, and odors may vary. The position involves working near computers, electronic equipment, low-voltage electrical components, cables, and power sources.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires the ability to move throughout office and work areas and to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and work in confined spaces while installing or servicing equipment. The employee must be able to lift, carry, position, and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, including computers, printers, and peripheral devices. Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle equipment, use a keyboard, connect cables, and operate tools, as well as visual acuity to view computer screens, read technical information and equipment labels, inspect components and connections, and identify indicator lights is required.
Qualifications
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of one year of experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting PCs, peripheral devices, software applications, and related cabling.

Ability to diagnose and perform component-level hardware repairs, supported by a working knowledge of basic electronic principles.

Working knowledge of and practical experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications.

Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts and terminology.

Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

One year of relevant experience or related discipline or AS degree in computer related field or BS degree in computer science.

Industry relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+. CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ as well as knowledge of Windows 11 and Ubiquiti a plus.
