Job Description:
- The IT Sourcing Consultant needed for the client as the pursue a sole- source licensing and enforcement system.
- The role requires the ability to work independently on tasks but lead the team to success.
- This role will function to lead the VITA sole sourcing process.
- This would include ensuing all the required forms and documents for a sole sourced cloud hosted system are completed.
- Evaluation of proposals and in execution of agreed upon negotiations strategy with selected suppliers.
- Leads evaluation and execution of risk mitigation strategies and establishes solid contracts that are in the long-term best interest of the customer.
- Has responsibility for managing customer expectations for project deliverables through effective and timely communications.
- Conducts a post project lessons learned reviews with the customers to promote knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a sole-sourced procurement process by working with the VBOA team, VITA cloud solutions and project management office and project management office and with the vendor.
- This includes ensuring the requirements are understood to negotiate a fair priced contract with clear deliverables.
Required (min 8 yrs in each):
- Deep industry experience (within procurement and supplier management) including cloud solutions.
- Experience with contract and vendor negotiation technical writing and requirements gathering
Desired:
- Knowledge of VA public procurement laws
- Knowledge of VITA cloud hosted security protocols and requirements.
