IT PC Refresh Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute PC refresh, hardware replacement, and device deployment activities.
• Perform device imaging, configuration, software installation, and system setup.
• Migrate user profiles, data, applications, and settings from legacy devices to new systems.
• Coordinate refresh schedules with end users, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Provide onsite and remote support during PC refresh activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset management records.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, warranty support, and asset disposal.
• Ensure devices meet IT security, patching, encryption, and endpoint management standards.
• Support endpoint management platforms such asMicrosoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Windows Autopilot.
• Conduct post-deployment quality checks and user acceptance validation.
• Assist with decommissioning, asset recovery, and secure disposal of retired equipment.
• Maintain deployment documentation, checklists, procedures, and project status reports.
• Track refresh metrics and provide regular updates to project leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in desktop support, endpoint management, PC deployment, or PC refresh projects.
• Strong knowledge ofWindows 10/11.
• Hands-on experience with PC deployment, imaging, configuration, and migration.
• Experience withMicrosoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, SCCM/MECM, and Windows Autopilot.
• Knowledge ofActive Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, software, and connectivity.
• Understanding of IT asset management and inventory control.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale device deployments.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple refresh activities and work effectively with project teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supportinglarge-scale PC refresh programs involving 500+ devices.
• Hands-onWindows Autopilot deployment experience.
• Experience withServiceNow ticketing and asset management.
• Experience supporting geographically distributed users and multiple locations.
• Exposure toITIL-based service management processes.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such asMicrosoft Certified, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft Endpoint Administrator are advantageous.
