Project Description:
Our Loyalty/Membership team manages member experiences at Best Buy, including offers, rewards, and points for paid members and Best Buy Credit Card members. The team manages membership data and delivers personalized customer experiences across web, mobile applications, and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Position Summary / Job Description:
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to understand requirements and implement new features and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain web components using React JS and Node JS.
- Build mobile application components using React Native.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and work with technologies such as GraphQL, TypeScript, React Hooks, Apollo Client, and React Query.
- Use development and testing tools such as Git, NPM, Yarn, Webpack, Babel, Jest, Mocha, Chai, and Cypress.
- Follow Agile development practices, CI/CD processes, and established software development standards.
- Take ownership of feature development and communicate effectively with internal and cross-functional teams.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance web applications in cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve complex production issues.
- Test backend REST APIs and frontend applications to ensure quality and reliability.
- Create user stories, document bugs, and provide clear requirements for development teams.
- Analyze application performance and use browser developer tools to identify and resolve issues.
- React JS / Node JS: 5+ years of experience with modern web development technologies.
- RESTful APIs: 5+ years of experience developing, integrating, and testing APIs.
- Agile Development: 3+ years of experience working in Agile development environments.
- Production Support and Troubleshooting: 5+ years of experience with production triage, issue identification, and resolution.
- React Native: 2+ years of experience developing mobile application components.
- Experience with database technologies.
- Experience with frontend automation testing.
- Ability to collaborate across teams to drive development activities and resolve production issues.
- Experience analyzing application logs using tools such as Splunk and Kibana.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, Jest, Cypress, Apollo Client, and modern frontend development tools.
- 1–2 interview rounds.
- Each interview session will be approximately one hour.
